We invite you to participate in the 20th International Conference on Collaboration and Technology (CRIWG 2014), taking place in Santiago, Chile, between 7 and 10 September 2014. The conference is supported and governed by the Collaborative Research International Working Group (CRIWG), an open community of collaboration technology researchers. Universidad de Chile, Business and Economics Faculty will host this year’s edition.
Traditionally, CRIWG conferences offer a strong focus on collaboration technology design, development, and evaluation. The conferences bring together researchers from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania who present papers that report on innovative combinations of technical, human, and organizational approaches to expand collaboration support. Their work is often grounded in theory from various disciplines such as computer science, management science, information systems, engineering, psychology, cognitive sciences, and social sciences.
This year CollabTech will be co-located organized with CollabTech 2014 (http://www.collabtech.org) which means that participants registered for one conference can attend sessions from the other. CRIWG and CollabTech communities have similar research topics and goals, but are geographically located in different regions. This will be an interesting opportunity to meet each other.
The papers presented at CRIWG 2014 will be published by Springer, LNCS series. The authors of the best papers presented at the Conference will be invited to submit extended versions for journal special issues. At this time, the following ISI-listed journals have confirmed special issues with CRIWG´2014 papers: Educational Technology and Society, and IEEE Latin America Transactions.Others may be announced later on.
